My Role in This Project
I worked with strategy to help pick the creative territory that felt true to black women. I was responsible for creating the concept around the idea of black girl magic. I also was responsible for creating the aesthetic and feel for the campaign as a whole.

Project Description
'We Play Real' celebrates the power of Black women in sport.

Sport builds community and can provide a platform to amplify voices and beliefs – all of which can transform the world in positive ways. The NBA All-Star Game is defined by highlighting the best players in the game, but this year, All-Star became a platform to call out and lift up Black women who make our world better. Wieden+Kennedy and Nike are inspiring and enabling consumers to join them in action through a new film, 'We Play Real'; a social campaign elevating Black women’s voices; and a pitch campaign with community partner Black Girl Ventures. Key athletes in the film include Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Sydney Leroux, and many more. By continuing to deliver inspiring, empowering, and motivating stories, content, and experiences this campaign demonstrates how the power of sport can help move the world forward.
