My Role in This Project
Concpeting ideas for the shoe rollout which included a film and cover with Paper magazine, a debut at NY fashion week, and an influencer kit sent to Kim Kardashian. I also help develop the design for the bucket crocs.

Project Description
Wieden+Kennedy and KFC partnered with Crocs to launch this spring's hottest shoes -- Kentucky Fried Chicken X Crocs Clogs. Two versions of the limited edition crocs were designed featuring a realistic Kentucky Fried Chicken pattern and a nod to the iconic red-striped bucket. The first pair, Kentucky Fried Chicken X Crocs Bucket Clog, is a sky-high, 4.5-inch platform avant-garde version that Global artist/beauty icon, Me Love Me a Lot (MLMA) debuted while attending shows during New York’s biggest week in fashion and complete with a spread in Paper Magazine. The second, Kentucky Fried Chicken X Crocs Classic Clog (a classic clog version), was available for consumer purchase in spring 2020. Both styles come with two removable, chicken-scented Jibbitz charms that look like a fried chicken drumstick.

Food companies are being strategic in their merch creations—so much so that their customers are willing to pay for the items they feel resemble them. Experimentation and collaboration are the new currency. The innovative and unexpected are driving the accumulation of cultural cache.
