Octavia

OVERVIEW Octavia is a current magazine about rock music from the 80's. The magazine has original articles written in the 80's and present articles related to rock from that era. To represent this two ages, the design is inspired by a varied range of retro colors combined with a modern style and at the same time with touches of trends from the graphic design of the 80s. The name Octavia comes from a guitar pedal that was designed for Jimmy Hendrix. My biggest inspiration for developing the style of this magazine was the 80's record cover variations. The cover along with the layout of each magazine volume is intentionally printed in two colors only.
