Description

The set contains four readers and four index booklets with related unconventional and conventional typographic design features, with and without an extra augmented reality reading layer. The readers contain a diversity of reading modus; long and short texts, articles, discussions. The index booklet contains seven different indexes ranging from image indexes to text-differentiated indexes. Conventional and unconventional index- typography is designed to connect the indexes with other typographic cues throughout the magazine’s content in a reader. For the magazines’ content, the internet is used as an archival playground for re-posting discussions and making new connections in narratives. The relationship between the landscape and the beauty or distraction of (functional) artifacts is re-ensembled and used as a (typo)graphic reference catalog. The subject is relatively neutral; students did not have (much) prior knowledge of the topic.
