Now in its 70th year, these awards are all about how letterforms are used and drawn, recognizing typographic excellence and celebrating new typeface designs in all global languages.

Description
Frontline Type Design classes are dedicated to Perso/Arabic Type and Lettering design with an experimental approach led by Ali Asali at Studio Metaphor in Tehran/Iran.
In order to document the practice of students and activities of Frontline typo platform, we design and produce a bilingual (Farsi and English) yearbook for the matter being published each year.
This year, we named the yearbook "Farsi Alternative Type " volume 1. This book encompasses the majority of good work designed by the top students of FLT and is a unique collection of Perso/Arabic letterings in the form of single letters, words, titles and ephemera designs.
This volume has 231 pages and was printed in only 370 editions and was lucky to find new markets beyond the country boarders.
