About the Work

Instead of promoting this year's theme of spontaneity in modern marketing for its Wildfire seminar, Leo Burnett decided to demonstrate it. Which is why the agency sent its creative recruiter, David Perez, to Cannes on one condition: he had to do whatever the Internet told him to do. What began as a small promotion quickly morphed into a full-scale experiment of real-time creativity. It also became the most talked about topic at the festival, beating Mark Zuckerberg or any of the Lion winners with the most mentions that week.
