About the Work

In India, cricket is a religion. An uncomplimentary tweet by Michael Vaughan, a cricket commentator, enraged Indian cricket fans. He?d accused VVS. Laxman, an Indian batsman, of using Vaseline on his bat to manipulate the Hot-Spot meter which records any contact of the ball on bat to aid the third umpire in decision-making. Vaseline was unnecessarily getting dragged into a controversy. A single print ad, addressed to Michael Vaughan was released. It simply educated him about the multiple uses of Vaseline and the fact that applying it on a cricket bat was not one of them. A single print ad got the whole country batting for it.
