About the Work

In June of 2021, we introduced Spatial Audio through Apple Music’s biggest global marketing campaign to date. Unlike traditional stereo listening, Spatial Audio lets you hear sound all around. To showcase this groundbreaking technology, we developed an art direction approach that visualized the immersive sound experience. For our :30 TV/Pre-roll film, we revealed a visual demo of Spatial Audio by creating the illusion that our hero artist, Masego, was floating all around a listener. The campaign extended into OOH, digital display, email, and Apple’s ecosystem, where multiple versions of a single artist represented immersive sound in both motion and static. For social, we created hundreds of three dimensional album executions that communicated a sense of space and depth. On the Apple Music app, we designed a Spatial Audio badge that clearly indicated new Spatial Audio releases. And finally, we developed a bespoke, multi-dimensional animation for the Apple Music logo. Collectively, these elements worked together to truly visualize the promise of Spatial Audio for an audience that hadn’t yet heard it.
