About the Work
To launch SICO Classic and SICO Excellence paint and promote their wide variety of colours, Lowe’s wanted to create a digital campaign that was relevant to consumers.
To achieve this, special spoiler alert pre-rolls were created to spoil the dominant colours in the videos viewers were about to see.
This was made possible thanks to a first-of-its-kind algorithm that searched for the four dominant colours of a video and transformed them into SICO swatches. Then, the same algorithm automatically placed the swatches in a newly generated pre-roll film.
On a weekly basis, the algorithm scanned the top-trending videos on YouTube and automatically created pre-rolls for them.
