About the Work
WhatsApp wanted Gen Z to know about View Once – a new feature in which videos and photos vanish after being seen once and can’t be saved to any media galleries.
We decided to tell a story that ring true to the way in which View Once works - by showing photos and videos that last only a few seconds.
We wanted to convey a feeling of freedom and spontaneity. This was achieved with an edit full of liveliness and dynamic. Although the images were mostly shot on 35mm, they’re seamlessly combined with voice notes, text messages, and diverse UI elements. The result is a playful collage that feels intimate and ephemeral – exactly like the content shared via View Once.
