About the Work
Our goal was to make a holiday film that felt like a children’s book brought to life through the lens of iPhone 13 Pro.
Our father and son directors Jason and Ivan Reitman took advantage of all the iPhone 13’s new features. From ‘Cinematic Mode’ that allowed for dramatic Hollywood-style shifts in focus, to ‘Macro’ which allows for stunningly close shots.
Our director duo also embraced the creativity and flexibility of shooting on an iPhone. The phone went in the freezer, it was taped to the ceiling, attached to a broom handle, whatever it took to enhance the storytelling about an unbreakable bond of friendship, amplifying all the emotional moments between our main character and her snowman “Simon” as she does all she can to keep him from melting from one holiday season to the next.
