About the Work
The World of Cocktails brings to life Absolut cocktails through vibrant and eclectic characters from different backgrounds, ages, races and genders.
The process started with building a backstory for every character based on the taste, color and occasion profile of the cocktail. Each character was cast accordingly. The wardrobe, the makeup, the performance, the mannerisms, everything was crafted till the very minute detail and came from the actual cocktail. From the highly energetic and upbeat Espresso Martini, to refreshing Vojito, elegant Cosmo, bold Bloody Mary, vogueing cowboy Madras, and several others, the Absolut World of Cocktails breaks stereotypes in loud as well as nuanced ways. It creates a visually disruptive world in a category that’s chaotic and crowded.
