About the Work
A research by the Guardian shows that 46% of the people around the globe -despite being worried about environmental problems- refuse to change their everyday habits. In an effort to make water saving easier for even the most reluctant to take action, we came up with an upcycling idea, that is easy to apply and highly effective. We redesigned the cap of the Finish Rinse Aid bottle. Once the bottle is finished the cap can be screwed onto the tip of the water tap. Then, it serves as a perlator, an apparatus that regulates the flow of the water, and saves up to 60 to 70% of water. In other words, up to 9 liters of water every minute. It is designed in accordance to the most common tap standard, called M22, estimated to be used in 90% of the Turkish homes.
