About the Work
The LGBTQ+ community and its allies do not have a voice in Vietnamese society. In order to give them a voice, we let the world hear what their detractors had to say about them instead.
During Pride Month in Vietnam, we launched Leave with Pride campaign with a social experiment challenging people’s absurd beliefs of LGBTQ+ being a disease. We armed LGBTQ+ volunteers with sick leave, and had them confront their superiors at work and teachers in school. Their homophobic reactions and double standards were secretly captured and shared on social media, prompting incredible PR and media coverage.
