My name is Paul Keister and I've wanted to do what I do since I was 13 years old.
I grew up in St. Ives, England, where I was practically glued to the tv watching for adverts from Hamlet, Carling Black Label, Heineken, Levis and just about any other brand. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a place where the BBHs and Abbott Mead Vickers of the world existed.
In 1989, I moved to the U.S. and went to Texas Tech University where I studied advertising strategy and minored in Art and Design. While I was there, my friend Mike Nwoke encouraged me to move to Atlanta where I attended Creative Circus. That place opened my eyes to the power of ideas.
Then, in 1996, I started my career at Leonard/Monahan in Providence, RI, where I spent two years learning from amazing people like David Baldwin and Kara Goodrich. Two years later, I had the opportunity to work for and learn from Alex Bogusky at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. where I spent 9 ½ years strategizing, steering, thinking and creating work for brands I love - with people I love even more. IKEA, truth, Giro, Miller Lite, Miller High Life and MINI were some of the brands I touched while I was there.
In June of last year, I took the next step and started goodness Mfg. in Venice, CA, with 4 people that I have been in the proverbial trenches with for the past 8+ years at CPB. We've been in business for a short time but so far the culture is thriving while we build brands people fall in love with.
And lastly, but actually firstly, I have an incredible son named Jack who's ten years old and my absolute pride and joy.
