Mutt Industries


Mike is Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director at Mutt Industries. Mutt is a scrappy new breed of ad agency/production company that concepts and directs work for a varied list of clients including Sony, Nike, Adidas, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gerber Knives and Ford. Mutt’s work has won Clio’s, One Show Pencils and Best in Show at the Portland Rosey Awards.

Previously, Mike worked as a Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy, Portland on Nike and Electronics Arts before leading and winning the pitch for the Heineken USA account. During his tenure, the agency was named Global Agency of the Year. Prior to W+K, Mike worked at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners where helped launch new campaigns for Hewlett Packard and Emerald Nuts. The resulting HP work was voted Campaign of the Year in 2005 by Adweek.

Before Goodby, Mike worked at Hal Riney and Partners in San Francisco on, Sacramento Kings and Saturn. Mike’s work at Hal Riney garnered a Cannes Lions and Best in Show at the San Francisco Show.

Years earlier, Mike began his career back at Wieden+Kennedy, Portland on Nike and ESPN. His efforts there earned Mike his first recognition in the advertising world as a Kelly Award finalist and a Tokyo Art Directors club award winner.

Mike is a graduate of Art Center College of Design and currently lives with his wife in Portland, OR. He is a proud pop of two boys.
