Rob Thompson

Creative Director

Rob won the creative lottery in 2000 when he landed his first copywriting job working on the Volkswagen account, where he created award-winning campaigns in print, television, radio and on the World Wide Web (as it was called way back then).

The next chapter of his advertising adventure took him (and his soon-to-be wife, Kris) to L.A. where he worked on the Apple account at TBWA/Chiat/Day. Yes, he met Steve. And, yes, it was terrifying.

In 2005, they moved back across the country, this time to work at CP+P in Miami. While there he produced more award-winning work for Volkswagen, Burger King, Virgin Atlantic Airlines and Coke Zero.

After working for about 500 straight days in Miami, he joined Goodby (sorry Rich) where he worked on Hyundai, GE, HP, Rolling Rock, Adobe, Nintendo and Netflix. Life and work were groovy, as Jeff himself might say.

But in 2009 W+K made him the proverbial offer he couldn’t refuse. After begging his then-pregnant wife to move yet again, he went to W+K Portland where he has been a Creative Director on Target, Powerade and now Nike.

When not parenting, working, or sleeping Rob is probably on his bike, which he races competitively.
