Bobby Hershfield started as an AAE at DDB Needham Chicago, but it was in New York at ChiatDay when his career in advertising truly began. In three years he helped launch Fruitopia, developed work for Reebok and worked directly for Jay Chiat on his pet projects, which was an experience all its own. After ChiatDay, Bobby moved to Portland, Oregon, where he found a home at Wieden + Kennedy. He worked on a variety of Nike assignments including Jordan International, Tennis, Golf and Training. He also spent a year in Australia where he ran a one-person office managing Nike Australia. Upon returning to Portland, he worked on Miller High Life and Genuine Draft before being transferred to New York to help run new business and work on Nike NYC. In the fall of 2000, Bobby made the switch from Account Director to Junior Copywriter. After taking classes, a massive pay cut and putting his job on the line, Bobby finally started his new career. He worked on ESPN, had his first spot directed by Albert Brooks and developed the award-winning Beta-7 campaign for Sega video games. After nine years at WK, Bobby left to work on IBM and Yahoo! at Ogilvy & Mather. Currently, he works at Mother New York on the Dell and Johnson & Johnson accounts. He has performed stand-up comedy, written an unpublished novel, traveled all over the world and loves spending time with family. He's also a rabid fan of television, Cleveland and Boston sports, the University of Michigan and celery.
