2017 One Show Branded Entertainment Jury
Andy Fackrell studied Visual Communication Design at Wellington Polytech in New Zealand, before embarking on an advertising career that has taken him from Wellington to Sydney, Singapore, Portland, Amsterdam, Auckland, and finally, Los Angeles.
Highlights include six years at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, working on Nike, where he created many groundbreaking campaigns that combined innovative use of media with strong storytelling and craft. These included whatever.com, Nike’s first foray into digital content, then a 120 episode live to air training campaign shot in Argentina, Nike basketball’s 1970’s reimagined Funkship campaign, and the hugely influential Play campaign, that included Grand Prix and Gold Cannes winning films Tag and Shaderunner.
From 2003 to 2012, Andy was Executive Creative Director at 180 Amsterdam, most notably responsible for adidas, and oversaw much of that brand as it launched Impossible is Nothing, including award winning campaigns +10, Wake-up Call and Kicking It.
He returned to New Zealand for two years at DDB Auckland, where he continued to produce multi-disciplined, award winning work in his home country.
Andy has just returned to the US, taking up a role as Executive Creative Director at RGA Hustle in Los Angeles. This is his third time judging at The One Show.
