Advertising, entertainment, sports - all need to engage and muster some sort of emotive reaction from the viewer.
Surf is leading the way in content creation in the NFL. He grew up at Crispin Porter + Bogusky during the glory years and has since been the Creative Director for adidas North America and Victors and Spoils.
While at CP+B and V&S, Surf worked on Nike, Coke Zero, Volkswagen, Microsoft, Burger King, Best Buy, Miller Lite, Sprite, AMEX, Buell, Harley Davidson, Smartwool, Dove and AXE.
Currently, Surf is the Creative Director of the Miami Dolphins where he leads Content + Creative and has bridged the gap from coverage to storytelling. He focuses on the impact of branded content in the digital space for sports brands. Only one team can win the Super Bowl every year and that leaves 31 other brands to find innovative ways to move the hearts and minds of their audiences.
Surf is a guest lecturer at the Miami Ad School and is frequently found presenting to creatives in sports and advertising.
