2019 One Show Print & Outdoor Jury
Yana Hunt landed at JFK airport in 1993 with roughly 20kg of Russian fiction in her valise and only 20 words of spoken English in her vocabulary. In the years since, she has mastered the rest of spoken (and unspoken) English, bought some very fancy shelves for her fiction and even fancier shoes for her feet. She also pursued a career in advertising. After all, propaganda and mass brainwashing come naturally to a child of the Soviet Union. Her many talents include being overdressed for every occasion, confusing copywriters as to the proper use of English articles, and using thinly veiled sarcasm under the guise of ESL. Work-wise, she's made millions believe that diamonds are the best investment of a two-month salary, beer tastes better served with a side of humor, and cars are certainly not just a mode of transportation. She's received various gold statues for her work but considers her most important accomplishment being a mom of twins.
Yana Hunt is an Art Director by trade and currently holds a CD title at J. Walter Thompson New York.
