A product design degree, followed by stints as a media salesman, painter & decorator and Head Waiter in a Hong Kong restaurant, proved the perfect foundation for a career in advertising.

A gleeful delight in postcard writing convinced Bill to become a copywriter, and over the last 18 years he (and his creative partner Giles Hepworth) have forged a career at BBH, VCCP, and Y&R.

Bill currently works at JWT London where he created Ash to Art, a self-initiated project to rebuild the fire-damaged Glasgow School of Art. It raised £706,000 and was awarded gold at all the major festivals in Europe and the US.
