Chief Marketing Officer, KFC US
Andrea Zahumensky is Chief Marketing Officer of the KFC U.S. division. As CMO, Andrea leads marketing, advertising, media, and consumer insights, as well as the brand’s digital initiatives. She is responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to continue to build KFC’s position as a brand that people trust and champion, and to drive sales overnight and brand over time. Since joining KFC, Andrea has been named to the 2019 Restaurant Business Power 20, one of “8 CMO’s who Rock and Rule” in 2019 by Franchise Update Magazine. KFC has also been recognized as AdAge 2018 Campaign of the Year and won two 2019 Webby awards.
Prior to joining the KFC U.S. team in December 2017, Andrea served in a number of marketing roles with Proctor and Gamble where she led the P&L, marketing spend and innovation for iconic brands including P&G’s biggest brand, Pampers, as well as Oral-B, Crest, Luvs, and Glide. Andrea was a key leader in P&G’s Oral Care division during the acquisition of Oral-B, and she spearheaded a turnaround on the Crest brand that significantly expanded market share advantage year over year. Andrea was also instrumental in creating the 3D White and Pro-Health portfolios, leading geographic expansion into 30+ new countries. Most recently, Andrea led a transformation of the way Pampers connects with millennial moms in the changing media landscape, resulting in record brand fundamentals and expanded market share leadership.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati, where she was a 2012 recipient of the Jeffrey Hurwitz Young Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award. Andrea also spends considerable time on community work; she is a Trustee for the University of Cincinnati Foundation and is a founding board member of The Jacob Davidson Memorial Scholarship Fund. She lives in Louisville, KY with her husband and three children.
