AT&T Communications

Fiona Carter is Chief Brand Officer for AT&T Communications, a global communications leader serving more than 100 million mobile, broadband and pay-TV customers in the United States, and nearly all of the Fortune 1000 as business customers. In her role, she is responsible for AT&T’s image and promise, from building AT&T’s brands – AT&T Business, FirstNet built with AT&T, Cricket, Vrio and others – to her oversight of brand marketing, strategy and design, along with advertising, media, sponsorships and social media.

Prior to joining AT&T, she served in the role of Chief Operating Officer at Omnicom's DAS Network and spent 11 years as Managing Director for Omnicom's BBDO, leading the teams for Bank of America, GE and Procter & Gamble. She started her career in the UK, working on famous British brands, such as Heinz and Land Rover, before moving to the U.S. to take on advertising roles at Lowe and Partners, D’Arcy and Partners, and Faith Popcorn.

Fiona sits on the boards of the Association of National Advertisers and the Women’s Sports Foundation, and she is Co-Chair of the ANA’s SeeHer movement. As an Adweek 2019 Brand Genius, she believes that brands are a force for growth and a force for good. She’s led the industry dialogue around brand safety topics and the SeeHer movement for advertisers proving that diversity is good for business. Fiona has a master’s degree in modern languages from the University of Oxford, is based in New York and likes to spend her free time with family on the beaches of Montauk or cheering on the Mets.
