Jinie Kwak is Managing Director, Global Communications at VMLY&R. She is responsible for shaping the brand story for VMLY&R and elevating the agency’s reputation as a dynamic leader in the industry. She spearheads the network’s external communications strategy, executive visibility, media relations, partnerships, sponsorships, thought leadership, events and more. With a decade of high-profile marketing communications experience, Jinie is best known for creating and implementing breakthrough strategies that drive business results. VMLY&R’s meteoric rise has been celebrated with coveted recognition including Campaign US Agency of the Year (2021), Fast Company Most Innovative Companies (2020), and Ad Age A-List (2020). She first joined Young & Rubicam in 2016, later playing a key role in navigating one of WPP’s largest mergers and bringing VMLY&R to market in late 2018. Jinie sits on the 4A’s Agency Communications Committee, is part of the inaugural Asian American in Advertising (3AF) NextGen Mentor, and guest lecturer at Parson’s School of Design. She graduated with a Bachelor’s from the University of Colorado at Boulder. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys biking and seeking out the world’s best alpine lakes.
