Armed with a business degree from Ivey, Brent took an unconventional path to CEO where he spent his first 20 years focusing on creative. Today as the CEO at Angry Butterfly, Brent partners with his two co-founders to lead a high-performance agency team across strategy, creative, and delivery. Before AB, as CEO/Chief Creative Officer of DDB Canada, Brent used his unique left-brain/right-brain approach to lead DDB’s total creative product and agency’s overall strategic direction across all offices. He also spent 3 years in the big apple in charge of J. Walter Thompson’s flagship office as well as the other 11 North American offices, where he helped transform the old school agency into the #5 CANNES Cyber Agency in the World, while also leading a number of global accounts. In Canada, Brent helped four different agencies transform into the Agency of the Year or runner-up and helped two different clients being named Marketer of the Year. In 2013, he was ranked the #2 Digital CCO in the World, has 25 Cannes lions to his name, plus has won best of show in every major award show in Canada - twice. At home Brent transforms back to a proud dad, insane NFL fan, and loving husband. His wife would add “In that order.”
