Description

In mathematics, the inclusion map of one space into another is denoted by the lowercase iota. Light is the single element which can be perceived by the eye. Iota is a led installation inspired by light physics and a research to find the origin of geometry. Corresponding to the focus of the observer, the nature of light and its different phenomena can be seen beyond the perceptivity of the human mind and attempts to translate them into a unified, non-spatial form. We have developed a performance that creates a real-time visual with our own code technique. Just for the sound design of this piece, 3 unique plugins are created. Team designed the sound by observing certain utterances concurrently with certain story editing. Rather than just combining science, art and technology with music, the studio created an artwork on the canvas like a Skyscraper of Light Erupt with different sizes

My Role was:

In this project, I worked as a Creative Director, Concept Development and New Media Artist.Studio invited to Sonar Istanbul to create Live Data-driven Public Experience Performance. My design touch point was to transform a vertical giant led screen into data installation which goes through the sky and make it a part of mediated space. The project has a process which contains different phenomena and the structure of the light corresponding to the focal point of the viewer, independently from the field and beyond the perception of the human brain which they developed as an intersection between science, light and sound producing systems. According to me, while space is the three-dimensional organization of the elements, the character is the atmosphere of that place.
