Concord Classic was a tournament for high school basketball players, set in Chicago to promote the release of the concord shoe. For this project I served as the lighting designer for the event as well as directed intro videos for each game. Loosely inspired by 1995, the original Concord release year, the design featured interactive 16-bit inspired gameplay, intros, and interactive lighting programming.? So for instance when someone dunked, there was a lighting moment and sound design, similar to a video game. Also loosely based in ?95, the narrative for the intro videos prefaced the 16-bit direction of the tournament, having the characters choose the their teams before each game in the tournament.
