The story of the show follows a path of a single dollar bill changing hands at the end of each episode. It's used as a device to take us through shifting perspectives of a small rust belt town in the USA, eventually intertwining them to reveal the secrets the city holds. The main title takes us through this journey, with various vignettes surrounding the dollar bill; a diner, a parking lot of a liquor store, a passenger seat of a luxury car, a strip club. The scenes blend into one another as the bill ages and decays with dirt, blood, and corruption.
I was the creative co-director on the project, developing the original concept treatment along with a set of styleframes and reference imagery. After the project was awarded, I oversaw production with a team of animators and CG artists; building scenes and refining transitions from shot to shot. I also assisted the production in building out additional scenes in CG.
