Description

This scarf is one of the first items to be created for the launch of Mohamed Sahid's brand After School. It aimed to bring awareness over a pertinent, social issue : the often negative representation of African culture, plagued by tribalism / warfare / colonialism and other divisive elements, while giving it the form of an artful design to deliver an important message through a beautiful product. The theme behind the design was : Africa Utopia. A representation of a Somali landscapes which goal is to transmit a message of unity and harmony, through natural elements and vibrant colors.
