A Musician in the deep state of a creative crisis is signed to a rehab program at the highly protected, isolated sanatorium that promises a lifetime warranty for endless inspiration. A bourgeois setting with welcoming stuff slowly creeps into a violent cult that tortures artists in the name of inspiration. The musician's greatest hit becomes his darkest nightmare.

In order to portray Greek Eleusinian vibe all sets were heavily dressed from the scratch in the old USSR sanatorium to marry both aesthetics. For the torture scene in the sauna, the set was fully build on stage with recreating a marble pattern for the walls. I developed bold and striking color palette overall for the whole film and I specifically wanted to push for the opening scene to accent burgundy / dark red shades, so we could feel that there is still some desire as well as suffering and live. The final scene is a thirst, a lust and a pain. The burning gold, the dark red, overwhelming green - that palette is highlighting the hunger and the misery of the main hero. For this scene there were 1000 candles burned practically to highlight a sacral mood of the ritual.
