Michael Norman Fohring is a co-founder of Toronto-based design studio Odami. The studio's work ranges from architectural design to interiors, furniture, and small objects, with a focus on materiality, atmosphere, and a timeless and simple aesthetic. Odami's work has been published internationally, and has contributed to Michael being named a One Club for Creativity Young Gun in 2018.

Michael completed his B.Sc.Arch and M.Arch degrees at McGill University in Montréal, where he was named to the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Honour Roll, and was awarded the American Institute of Architects Henry Adams Medal, and the RAIC Student Medal for outstanding final design project.

Prior to co-founding Odami, Michael worked at offices in Austria, Montréal, and Toronto, where he was responsible for several award-winning projects.

In addition to his practice, Michael has also been a regular Sessional Lecturer at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture.
