Garland Lyn is a Creative Director, currently VP of Creative at Simon Properties. With a foundation and expertise in graphic design, typography and branding, he specializes, in strategic marketing communication, campaigns and has extensive experience in video, photographic and commercial campaign development & production for brands; building internal and external teams for creative marketing departments.
Garland has developed branding and logos for the forthcoming Google Store and served as senior director of creative for Ann Taylor, creating seasonal ad campaigns, POS and retail marketing. He has also held positions as lead creative for Banana Republic at their agency of record and worked through various advertising agencies & direct freelance for brands such as Supreme skateboards, Nike, Amazon, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabanna, Michael Kors, Tumi, Timberland, Nine West, Johnston and Murphy and Kiehl’s among others.
Before advertising, Garland has come from a magazine background—having worked on several magazine redesigns and projects including Spin, Arena, Mademoiselle, several issues of Big Magazine, ESPN and a biannual fashion magazine, The Fashion.
