Bonnie Siegler is a graphic designer and founder of the award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio, Eight and a Half. Recent clients include The Criterion Collection, HBO, The New Yorker, Brooklyn Public Library and Late Night with Seth Meyers. The work is idea-based with a wink, because making the audience smile is always a plus. She is the author of two books, Signs of Resistance and Dear Client, with a third book called The American Way, coming out in February 2023. She served on both the national and local board of the AIGA, chaired a national conference and created and produced a live design game show, called Command X, at the last ten conferences. Bonnie taught in the graduate programs at Yale University and School of Visual Arts, was a guest instructor at RISD, MICA, and Art Center, and has lectured extensively here and abroad. She has also taught 5 classes on LinkedIn Learning. Before co-founding Number 17 in 1993 with a partner (re-named Eight and a Half in 2011) she worked at MTV Networks and before that, studied design at Carnegie Mellon University.
