Fan Ding and Jianping Fang both graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 and co-founded United Design Lab (UDL) in 2012. UDL is a design and innovation studio that provides design and consulting services to clients in the commercial and cultural fields. Through extensive experiments in various fields, it continues to expand the definition of graphic design in the contemporary China. As the youngest members of the Alliance Graphique Internationale in China, Fan Ding and Jianping Fang have won many design awards at home and abroad, including but not limited to Tokyo Type Guidance Club (Tokyo TDC), Graphic Design in China (GDC), "China's Most Beautiful" Book”, Red Dot Award, iF Design Award and Hong Kong Designers Association Global Design Award (HKDA).
