Priyanka is a multi-faceted creative who works between the realms of Art and Design. Born and raised in Mumbai, Priyanka studied advertising at Rachana Sansad College of Art and Craft and, later, Visual Communication at London College of Communication. After having practiced graphic design for 7 years, she switched to a more tactile medium. She wanted to play with materials and textures and get her hands dirty. Priyanka now runs a little multi-disciplinary practice called Studio Lalala, that often uses organic elements as a medium to communicate brand stories through photoshoots, visual merchandising and spatial design. She particularly enjoys storytelling through concept-driven images and installations. Priyanka combines her aesthetics and design principles with an understanding of shape, material and form and how they work together. As a visual artist, Priyanka works on Fantasy Botanicals, an evolving series of sculptures where she designs her own plant sculptures by taking familiar organic elements out of their original context and unearthing a new meaning; slowly building a world of her own fantasy. It is about questioning the existing and uncovering her own natural aesthetic sensibilities. Additionally, Priyanka is a Contributing Editor with Architectural Digest India (Under Conde Nast group).
