Born and raised in Mexico City, Farhad is a Mexican-Iranian cinematographer and occasional director based in Vancouver and working internationally.
Through his work, he aims to explore notions of identity, diasporic voices, relationships and intimacy, hoping to make people feel deeply.
Thanks to the support of his community, friends and family, he's managed to pick a few accolades here and there, including three nominations and one win at the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards (2019) and a Gold Screen at the Cannes Young Director Award (2020).
