Raxenne Maniquiz

Designer, Illustrator

Hometown: Bulacan, Philippines
Current City: Bulacan, Philippines

Raxenne Maniquiz is a graphic designer and illustrator from the Philippines. Her work depicts images of flora and fauna - mostly the kind endemic to her country - drawn with deep, painterly strokes and brilliant contrasts. These finely textured illustrations appear in brand campaigns, product packaging, apparel design, printed media, stationery, and other commissioned projects.

In 2021, Raxenne collaborated with MáAáC Cosmetics for the design and packaging of its Wander.Lust. City Collection. She created illustrations unique to each of the 25 cities from 9 Asian countries that inspired the lipsticks in the limited edition set. Earlier, Nike also commissioned her for a series of illustrations that celebrated the launch of Jordan's flagship store in Manila. She has also worked on projects for Adobe, Bloomberg, Dr. Martens, Stefan Sagmeister, and Uniqlo to name a few.

Raxenne continues to explore flora and fauna as the subjects of her personal work. Her ongoing series on endemic flowering plants began with a zine in 2019 and continues with a set of illustrated distribution maps. Through these, she expands not only her drawing techniques but also her exposure to research being done on local plant species.
