Adrian Yu is a Chinese-American new media artist, director, and creative director.

Born in NY and growing up in LA from a family of Hong Kongese immigrants, Yu was taught graphic design at a young age from his father's motion graphics studio. While studying film writing at NYU's cinema studies program, he began his career directing fashion films for BULLETT Magazine before graduating early to become a copywriter-art director at SID LEE.

Riding the line between fine art and commercial work, Yu became the lead creative at the agency's in-house production studio, where he directed his first spots for Adidas, Porsche, and Def Jam. In 2016, he founded his own creative studio Offline Projects where he's gone on to creative direct, design, and produce campaigns, experiences, and digital platforms for cultural clients such as Sega, Adidas, 88 Rising, and Amazon Music. Since, he's directed TV spots, content, and music videos for clients such as Nike, One Plus, and Spotify ? as well as directed promos and title sequences for Zack Snyder's Justice League and Tokyo Vice. He recently started a new agency called Excetera (merging Offline Projects with design studio Seriously Fun) and is releasing a board game called Blabbi.

In his fine art work, Yu has also shown new media installations at Art Basel Hong Kong, Wallplay NY, and Oi! Art Center HK. His work has been featured in publications including Fast Company, Pitchfork, and PAPER.
