Young Guns 7 WINNERS

2009: Beginning this year, Young Guns became an annual competition. Its international growth continued to shine, with nearly half of all entries coming from outside of the United States. For the first time ever, the top scoring Young Guns 7 winners were awarded grants, with project funding being awarded to visual artist Siggi Eggertsson, director duo Fx&Mat and designer Mario Hugo. The Young Guns 7 ceremony and party took place on October 21, 2009.

 

Julia Neumann

Julia Neumann recently joined TBWA\Chiat\Day New York as Executive Creative Director. Her advertising career started at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, where she won the very first Cannes Lions in P&G’s history. After stints at Y&R, New York, Wieden+Kennedy, Portland and BBH New York she joined Mullen Lowe in New York, where she was creatively responsible for the JetBlue account as well as growing the newly opened New York office. 

 

Notable work includes Tide “Pocket Stain”, Land Rover’s “Pathological Liar”, WaterisLife “4 Year Olds Bucket List”, JetBlue “Fly Babies” and the critically acclaimed stunt “Art Heist for Good” also for WaterIsLife. Throughout her career, her work has been recognized at all the industry’s top award shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, The Clio Awards, The One Show, The Andy Awards, The AICP and the Art Directors Club. Business Insider also included Julia in their annual list of most creative women in advertising in 2013, 2014 and 2016.

 

Outside of agency life, Julia recently directed a documentary short called “Deporting Myself”. The film premiered at the Berkshire International Film Festival and was also part of this year’s official selection at the Marfa Film Festival.
