In publishing, covers are designed a year ahead of the publication date. For that reason, I'm wary of making something that is too "trendy" or "cool" because it will most likely be old news by the time the book publishes. So I try to always make something new and different, which is also more fun to do. This set of covers show some of the more fun and experimental approaches I took using variety of mediums like watercolor, graphite, collage, etc.
