If a woman says, that she has been sexually assaulted, she is often accused of having an agenda.
Well, what agenda? Women, who speak out, rather have to fight back against the prevailing narrative that they make things up either for attention, fame, or revenge. They will be threatened and not believed, stories will be made up or taken out of context. Because this has happened to many women before them, few dare to speak out and go to court. They are afraid to relive the trauma. That there is a possibility for false accusations cannot be denied. Although it is not easy to define a clear number for this, it can be deduced from many international studies that these cases are rare. Therefore it does not justify victim blaming. There is an ongoing need to recognize this misogynistic narrative. With our social spot, we want to make a contribution to paying attention to the issue, because we are far from reaching our goal.
