The Young Ones competition is one of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions. It has a tradition of excellence dating back to 1986.
With the addition of audiobooks, Spotify is now the app for all your audio needs. Our goal with this campaign is to shed light on rockstars of both word and sound in order to bridge the gap between audiobook and song. To do this, we chose novels by literary icons such as Ernest Hemingway, Emily Bronte, George Orwell, and Lewis Carroll and compared them to their equally popular audio counterparts. For example, 1984 by George Orwell heavily influenced David Bowie’s song by the same name, by alluding to this through both visuals and copy, we aim to reinforce the idea that Spotify is the home for everything audio.
