Meryl Elafifi is an award-winning creative with 20+ years of experience in the advertising industry she is also a board of directors member of the One Club for Creativity - Egypt instructor and board of directors member of Cairo Ad School
Meryl was appointed Regional Executive Creative Director for the Middle East region of Seven Brands; a multinational independent ad agency that is focused on emerging markets, launching its operations in Cairo, Egypt starting September 2019, and adding 9 accounts to its portfolio of clients in the Cairo office within 6 months, while managing its creative departments across the region.
Having worked with most of the global ad agencies, her most recent role was ECD at Momentum Egypt (part of McCann Worldgroup and MCN), as the creative lead to relaunch Momentum to the positioning of a Total Brand Experience Agency early in 2016, becoming a full solutions provider to its clients, and expanding its scope of operation, where she took the lead on a pool of international and local brands within the new Momentum Egypt set up, such as Emirates NBD, Arla, Peugeot and L’Oreal.
This came after a long journey in the advertising industry that has extended beyond 20 years. It has started in Saatchi & Saatchi in 2001, passing through JWT Cairo - formerly Bonus Euro RSCG, Strategies - part of BBDO Network, FP7/McCann, it also included a period of going independent, where Meryl co-found 622; a homegrown Boutique Agency (2013-2015).
Across her journey, Meryl has worked on a very rich and diverse portfolio of clients including; Batelco - Emaar - Etisalat - The Egyptian government (Egyptian environmental affairs agency - ministry of state for the development of civilization and slums) - Orascom El Gouna - United Nations (UNDP - UNHCR) Nestle (Nescafe - Nido) Mansour group MMID (Palm Hills Developments - Crédit Agricole) - Unilever (Lux - Lipton - signal) - Cadbury (Cadbury Dairy Milk - Cadbury Biscuit) - Nile Radio Productions (Nile & Nogoom FM Radio Stations) Procter and Gambel (Ariel - Pampers) - Paints (Pachin - Jotun) – Shell - Financing Solutions (Contact Cars - Alianz Insurance) HSBC - Vodafone - Coca Cola.
