AN EVENING WITH ROB BAIRD

This past Thursday, February 6, over 70 creatives and design enthusiasts gathered together on a snowy night in Boulder, CO to hear from Rob Baird, CCO and Co-Founder of Preacher, an independent, Austin-based creative company that specializes in advertising, design and strategy.

The night began with New Belgium beers, networking and a table full of Preacher swag. Piggyback Letterpress, a One Club Denver sponsor, also had a table set up showing off their beautiful yet affordable letterpress-printed business cards.

One Club Denver President, Kara Taylor, then welcomed Rob to Boulder with a brief intro on how the night came to be, and their history working together in the past. In a laid-back presentation, the attendees heard the behind-the-scenes stories about the many powerful advertisements Preacher has recently created. Rob shared Preacher's philosophy on how they find soul in the business. For them, it’s all about working with clients they believe in, and understanding the importance of saying no more often than saying yes. Throughout the hour-and-a-half long discussion, Rob shared his thoughts on advertising, creativity ,and the many questions asked by the audience. The event closed with a drawing for a complimentary letterpress business card set from Piggback Letterpress, won by Amber Revoir.
