HERE ARE ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE

September 22-24 - Online

10th Anniversary

PARTNER WITH US

For the safety of all participants during the COVID-19 pandemic, HAATBP 2020 will be 100% online. By moving to a virtual conference, we will be able to include attendees from all over the country, and world, like never before.

HAATBP is more than a job fair; it's a forum for the creative industry to have transparent discussions on racial inequity and professional development. In today’s social and political climate, it’s vital that everyone take part in these conversations, from entry-level to C-suite.

Lastly, HAATBP will be 100% free for all ticket holders. We want to ensure that there’s no financial barrier to attend the panels, portfolio reviews, or career fair. Let’s be more progressive, inclusive, and bolder than ever.

10 YEARS OF BEING BOLD

“Where are all the black people?”
That was the bold question a young black creative asked Jeff Goodby, founder of GoodbySilverstein & Partners, at a holiday party over twenty years ago.

After many conversations about creating job opportunities for minority students and graduates pursuing careers in advertising and design, Goodby and fellow creative legend Jimmy Smith spearheaded a panel during The One Club’s 2011 Creative Week with that attention-grabbing question as its title.Seeing the impact, The One Club expanded this panel into a daylong career fair focused on Diversity & Inclusion called “Where Are All The Black People?” The event quickly became an industry staple, attracting people from all over the country for one purpose--to make the advertising and marketing industry more inclusive.

By 2014, with hundreds of attendees, it was no longer a question of “where” are all the black people, but a firm statement — “Here Are All The Black People.”

2020 marks the tenth exciting year of HAATBP. Although the conference now warmly welcomes attendees of all cultures and races, and has grown to include programming for those with more experience on their resumes, its name remains as unapologetically bold as ever.
