A stubborn grandpa turns down new Caramel M&Ms to stick to his own, outdated caramels.
This spot helped launch Caramel M&Ms—a new product our client called the “biggest flavor innovation in brand history.” The challenge was to make caramel relevant to Millennials, who see caramel as an old, stodgy candy you’d probably find in grandpa’s trouser pockets. Caramel M&Ms were the youthful alternative to a candy that had been stuck in its ways for decades.
