WORTH AN EYE / NONE

On October 18, 2019, Chile opened its eyes, and decided on a path of struggle, with no end date. Families went out with pots to march, hundreds of people joined the daily protests. And from that day, Chile woke up. The country's discontent, insecurity, abuse, and disease spread to all citizens, and the fight for the rights and dignity of the people began. Many of them suffered after the abuse of the police force of our country, losing one of their eyes, or even both. This is why we wanted to make a difference and stop uncontrolled abuses, creating a social campaign where we invited the community to make use of a filter created for Instagram and people would use it, causing a shocking image among their contacts and with this, evidencing the different abuses and torture that hundreds of young people were receiving for the pellets that were so questioned.
3 different Instagram filters were developed, where people could see their friends without an eye or with one of them damaged, such as the reality of the more than 250 people who lost their vision during the protests for demanding dignity and asserting your rights.
An Instagram profile with digital content was generated for those affected to upload their photos and challenges, share and invite others to join the initiative.
The impressions of the users evidenced that for many of them, losing an eye for asserting your rights is something inhumane and generated awareness among all those who shared the filter.
This was an action that we were able to carry out based on our own beliefs and circumstances, only because of the motivation and empathy with the same society.
