Right The Ratio Speaker

Ari Weiss

CCO
DDB

Ari Weiss joined DDB as CCO of North America in February of 2017. Together with CEO Wendy Clark, the two have been focused on what they’re calling the “resurgence of an icon.” A mission to return DDB to its rightful position as the world’s most creatively effective network.

In less than a year, Weiss helped secure DDB a spot on AdAge’s coveted A-List for the first time in over 20 years. In 2017, Weiss was also named to Crain's 40 under 40, Adweek's Creative 100 and the 4A’s 100 People Who Make Advertising Great.

In 2018, Weiss was named one of the top 5 most award winning CCOs in the world by the Drum’s Big Won Rankings. He also helped lift DDB to the third most creatively awarded network in Cannes helping Omnicom secure the holding company of the year honor for the first time in the festival’s history.

Right The Ratio Summit

The advertising industry has a gender bias problem, and although there are countless women and allies working tirelessly to make a difference, if things don't move and evolve at the top, institutional change remains a long way away.

The One Club For Creativity’s Right The Ratio is a two-day summit aimed squarely at agency decision-makers, those with the authority within their walls to advance workplace equality and foster a more gender-balanced environment. Its mission is to share ideas, insights, and solutions that can then be acted upon, from the corner office all the way to the intern pool. With sessions led by highly respected business leaders, Right The Ratio aims to help you make the necessary adjustments and about-faces that will lead to a better workplace.

To keep the Summit gender-balanced, space is limited to 50 female-identifying and 50 male-identifying individuals who are agency leaders with an equal 50/50 representation of speakers.

When: January 23-24, 2020

Where: New York City

The Right The Ratio Summit registration fee is $899 USD for members, and $999 for non-members, which includes all presentations and discussions, a welcome breakfast, networking lunches, and a cocktail reception.

Prospective attendees must register and be pre-screened before being allowed to purchase tickets.

Everything I Know About Gender Equity I Learned From a 70’s Sitcom
Tommy Means, Founder and CCO, Mekanism
The 1970’s was an explosive era for feminism and gender equality in American pop culture. Before there was an Internet, prime-time television emerged as a powerful medium to show the transfer of power to women from traditional nuclear family roles. As the son of two working entrepreneurs, Mekanism founder and chief creative officer Tommy Means was left alone in front of a TV after school for hours with sit-com heroines. In this provocative, funny, and participatory conversation, Tommy reveals how strong, funny women like Lucille Ball, Mary Tyler Moore, Alice and Major Margaret Houlihan can inform and influence how to navigate the transfer of gender power at creative companies.
