The Art of Freelance: Ken-Tsai Lee

"We see European design, American design, Japanese design... we also need to be seen by others." Designer Ken-Tsai Lee may have learned his craft in New York City, but he has honed it in Taiwan, where he seeks to help the island find its own design identity, one that both reflects and is reflected in work from other regions of the globe. This is evident in "Bauhaus 100:Manifest of Practice in Taiwan," a series of workshops and exhibitions that won a Silver Cube at the ADC 99th Annual Awards. "The Art of Freelance" is a video series that tells the stories of creatives who chart their own path — a growing section of the community that holds the ADC Annual Awards in high regard.
